I have stayed here before now, it's still a gorgeous hotel. I visited Cairo for walking around and had an enjoyable experience at this property. Everyone was really helpful and excellent as well as owner...

explore cairo's treasures with a convenient city stroll
I was amazed at how many very nice attractions were a stone's throw from the hotel, with Tahrir Square just a brief 10-minute walk away and the Egyptian Antiquities Museum just 900 meters down the road, perfect for immersing myself in Egypt's history and culture before heading to nearby parks for some fresh air.

The location of the hotel, close to downtown and Tahrir Sq. There were also lots of shops, cafes and restaurants in the area. The decor of the hotel in general was good.
The bathroom furnishing could do with updating, to match the standard of the room. The a/c was not working really well, it took a long time to cool the room

charming, charming, charming
The charm of this classic hotel swept me away, capturing the essence of a bygone era with marble details and beautiful chandeliers. My Beautiful Junior Suite was spacious and impeccably clean, and I appreciated the warm hospitality from the staff. Plus, the breakfast buffet was a good mix of local and continental dishes, leaving me energized for the day's adventures!
totally recommend 😊❤️

The antiquated lift requiring manual door closure added character to my stay. Being able to browse vintage art adorning the hotel walls immersed me in Cairo's rich history.

The room was fairly decent, the location brilliant and I loved the lift :)
The rudeness of the main manager.

Lovely place for staying in the centre of Cairo. A lot of goodies for breakfast. Decent sized units with the bathroom was flooding and balcony. Particularly good very central location and really helpful and amicable staff. A lot of food options at a short distance from the venue. 20 km from Cairo International airport.

The room featured a minifridge, and it provided access to local attractions nearby, including Tahrir Square within walking distance.
Upon arrival, there was a significant issue with the pricing. Despite requests, a refund for the room overcharge took several days, leading to an unnecessary payment in Egyptian pounds instead of euros, even after initial assurances. The linens were not clean and had noticeable dust, exacerbating allergy concerns. The mini-bar obstructed the room door, causing entry issues. The windows failed to block out substantial street noise, keeping the disturbances ongoing throughout the night.

A very characterful old hotel in the heart of Cairo with an excellent bar and real hard to duplicate style
Really it is time they cleaned the carpets!

The location was the only think I liked about the hotel.
I was insulted by the man at the front desk upon arrival, and the rest of the front desk staff were not very welcoming. the food was poor, and the rooms were not very clean aside from fresh linens and towels, at least. It is acceptable for the price, but do not expect good air conditioning either.
